Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph: My Week 2 Challenge Journal

Master Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph Week 2 challenges with this efficient guide to objectives, rewards, and XP farming.

I have a habit of starting each new Destiny 2 season week by scanning every challenge before I load into any destination. For Season of the Seraph week 2, that habit saved me a lot of time. The week feels like a broad tour: a little H.E.L.M. story, a little Cosmodrome patrol, some Heist Battlegrounds, a bit of Crucible, a Gambit detour, and a Legend Lost Sector. Because the Dawning event is also active, I made sure to pair bounties where possible.

The challenges this week reward a mix of Challenger XP and Bright Dust, plus a couple of Exo Frame Modules. I like to group objectives that share a destination, so my week 2 loop felt efficient and surprisingly low-stress.

More Than A Weapon II Complete Week 2 of 'More Than A Weapon' Exo Frame Module, Challenger XP
Fire In The Void Defeat combatants with Void or Solar damage in Heist Battlegrounds XP+

More Than A Weapon II

When I arrive at the H.E.L.M., I tend to go straight to the Exo Frame. For week 2, I found Clovis Bray in the middle of a heated argument with Ana Bray and the Exo Stranger. I always enjoy these story beats because they give the seasonal grind a narrative pulse. After the conversation ended, I accepted the next quest step and completed the More Than A Weapon II challenge. The reward is an Exo Frame Module and some Challenger XP, which makes it a low-effort way to kick off the week.

Fire In The Void

I moved into Heist Battlegrounds for Fire In The Void. The goal is simple: defeat combatants using Void or Solar damage. I used a Void subclass with a Solar energy weapon so every other kill counted no matter which element I relied on. Final blows from abilities and weapons both work, so I did not have to overthink my loadout. I finished this challenge naturally while farming the seasonal playlist, and it gave me XP+.

Cosmodrome Activities

I then returned to the Cosmodrome, which still feels like the New Light home turf. The challenge asks me to earn progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors. The bounties there tend to be very direct, so I knocked out a few patrols and a public event without leaving the starting zone. This one rewards Challenger XP+ and Bright Dust, so I never skip it.

Mid-Range Calibration

While I was already in the Cosmodrome, I switched to mid-range weapons to work on Mid-Range Calibration. I carried a Hand Cannon, a Fusion Rifle, and a Machine Gun so every slot could make progress. Rapidly defeating combatants gives bonus progress, so I played aggressively through Lost Sectors and public events. These two Cosmodrome challenges overlap perfectly, and stacking them made the trip feel much more efficient.

Freezing Void

For Freezing Void, I went to the Crucible. I grabbed bounties from Lord Shaxx and equipped a Void subclass with Stasis weapons. The challenge tracks Guardian defeats, but Void or Stasis effects grant bonus progress. I am not always a PvP main, so I kept this one short and focused on ability kills where possible. It rewards Challenger XP+ and Bright Dust.

Heist Battlegrounds II

Back in the seasonal playlist, I focused on Heist Battlegrounds II. I needed to complete ten heists and defeat five Deathtongue Choristers. These Choristers can be a real nuisance, so I made a point to focus-fire them as soon as they spawned. Killing them quickly helps the team more than most players realize. The reward is another Exo Frame Module plus Challenger XP+.

Umbral Focusing I

Umbral Focusing I is one of the easiest challenges of the week. I took a Season of the Seraph engram to the Exo Frame in the H.E.L.M. and focused it. That single action completed the challenge and awarded Challenger XP. I expect a more complex Umbral Focusing challenge later in the season because the number one in the title suggests a sequence.

Lost In The Legend

I then completed a Lost Sector on Legend difficulty. This one can feel intimidating if you have not done it before, but champion mods make all the difference. I checked the modifier and equipped the correct anti-Champion tools before entering. Playing cautiously at first let me learn the spawns, and after a couple of attempts I cleared it for Challenger XP+ and Bright Dust.

Bank, Kill, Repeat

For Bank, Kill, Repeat I spent time in Gambit. I banked Motes, cleared Blockers, and fought enemy Guardians. Some players prefer to save all Gambit challenges for later in the season so they can progress several at once. I decided to play a little bit early because I wanted the Bright Dust, and the mode felt fun in short bursts.

The Fallen Fall

Finally, I loaded into the Vanguard playlist to defeat Fallen combatants. Strikes with Fallen enemies gave me steady progress, and tougher combatants awarded bonus progress. This challenge paired well with Vanguard bounties. After a few strikes, I picked up my Challenger XP+ and Bright Dust.

By the end of my week 2 loop, I had knocked out every challenge while keeping my play sessions fairly relaxed. The key was stacking Cosmodrome objectives, letting Fire In The Void progress inside Heist Battlegrounds, and being deliberate with my loadouts for Crucible and Legend Lost Sectors. Season of the Seraph keeps the pressure low enough that a player like me can stay productive without burning out.
